Level 2 Beauty Course At College

Welcome to my blog,

If you're thinking of going to do beauty at college but can't find out much information about it I hope this helps you.

I only studied a bit of beauty but ended up dropping out just before Christmas due to struggling to get people in for the treatments.

The college I went to for level 2 we was studying makeup, eyebrows, eyelashes, manicures, pedicures, waxing etc... You should already know what your college course covers it should be in the description.

There's a lot more work to it and is harder than you think it would be. You have to learn all the treatments in sequence of how it is meant to be done and all of the techniques on how to perform each treatment.

There's a lot of coursework mainly to be done on the computer for assignments that need to be completed my advice is that as soon as you get an assignment start it straightaway so it doesn't build up as you can get given a few assignments at a time that need completing and it will help you in the long run. There is literally an assignment for everything.

The practical side of things for doing the treatments is a sheet you have to fill in and do the same treatment as many times as the piece of paper says you need to till you have completed it.

Make sure you have enough people to come in for you to do the treatments as your tutors pop there head in to where you are doing the treatment to see how you are doing they do this more often than you think. Once finished your tutor inspects your work and looks at how long it took you to complete the treatment as there are time frames and you can fail for being to long or to short with a treatment.

My college wanted to have clients in that had different hair colour and ages to complete my course and with my family only being little I found it really hard to complete.

For the exams I only did 2 paper ones and the other exams are online although if you fail when you retake the online exams the questions are the same but I would just say to study and pass it first time so you have less work to do each time instead of all your work piling up on you.

As part of the beauty course there is also work experience that is needed to be done to complete your course whether you pick and ask the salons yourself or if the college do. Due to me dropping out way before we even got to this part of the course I did not take any part in the work experience but I do know it is part of your course.

The treatments are cheaper to have done in college than in a salon as clients are only paying for the products used.

Hope this has helped you out if you're planning to go and do this course and has helped you prepare for what to expect.
